Max the kitten was adopted!
Max and Diesel were returned and are now NO cats.
Glacier was reclaimed by her owner.

Help Needed!

Butch is doing great! His new name is Oakley! We love him so much and he follows us EVERYWHERE! He has made himself right at home!

Hi Erma!!!
Things are good here...next month will be a year since Jack came to live with us! He is absolutely wonderful. What a good boy...sweet, kind, funny...just perfect! He started limping in December and the Vet said he tore his ACL in his hind leg. We had him get surgery to correct it and now he is pain/limp free and totally enjoying the good life.
I am enclosing some pictures of him.....I can't tell you enough how much he is loved!

Hey erma he's doing great he grew so much! He's a very good boy he is such a good listener I can take him on walks without his leash in the woods behind our house and he stays right by my side and other animals don't ever phase him I've attached a couple pictures for you :)

Here's another one I found of him when he was a bit younger he managed to get a big bottle of baby powder off of the counter and made a mess with it that is what we came home to haha

Dog Walking Schedule:
The minimum number of walkers needed by 9:00 a.m. is two in order to handle the task of getting dogs out for their first morning walk.
Volunteers are really needed early in the morning, 9:00 a.m. every day! Even if you can only help for a half hour or an hour, it would help.
The dogs are color coded. New volunteers may NOT walk Red dogs. Please pay attention to the color coding and the cage cards. Red walkers' names in red type.

Important: Please do not sign up for a shift if you aren't sure you can make it! Other volunteers come in if there isn't enough coverage. Some people have signed up for shifts and have been either late or not shown up at all. We really need at least two people early in the morning--9:00--to get everyone out.
*Please try to notify me of your walking plans by Sunday night each week.
If you don't know your availability a week in advance and see we need help the next day, just send me an e-mail by 10 p.m. the night before, and I will put you on the schedule and notify the shelter.

**KITTEN FOSTERS NEEDED ASAP**
We are in need of fosters for our Bottle Baby kittens!
It's that time of the year again. We need willing fosters who
can handle a litter of bottle babies, which require round-the-clock feeding. Yes, this means night time as well! We supply all the necessities, including a cage. Compensation will be given for your loving time and devotion.

All new walkers may walk green dogs on their own once they have gone through orientation. New walkers may walk yellow dogs once they have been with a red walker and told by the red walker they are okay to move on.

From SOCAF Management:
All dogs need to be walked with two leashes at all times, whether they are being walked from the pen to their runs, or just a few feet. No excuses, please!
The dogs must be on county property at all times when being walked. They cannot be walked IN the street or across the street.
Smoking is not allowed while walking dogs.
When walking dogs, please do not allow dogs to jump up onto any vehicles.

TO ALL VOLUNTEERS:
If you see a dog limping, notice a lump, blood in the stool, etc., anything out of the ordinary, or if there is an incident with the dog, be sure to notify the supervisors, document the incident, and put it into the dog's file, keeping a copy for yourself.
